Main responsibilities for this position:

– Perform the work described on the repair order efficiently and accurately, according to the dealer and manufacturer’s standards;
– Ensure periodic preventive maintenance;
– Determine the cause of any defect and carry out the repair;
– Determine equipment defects based on customer complaints and your own inspection;
– Examine the assigned vehicle to determine if additional safety and maintenance work is required;
– Inspect and road test newly delivered vehicles in order to detect obvious damage or missing parts and to assess driving functions;
– Notify the technical advisor and/or the foreman as soon as possible if additional work is required, if the work described is not necessary, or if the repairs cannot be carried out;
– Install the optional equipment requested by the customer or the dealer;
– Identify replacement parts in the parts books for ordering purposes;
– Keep up to date with the manufacturer’s technical bulletins;

Job type: Permanent full-time, 40 hours per week

Salary: $35 to $55/hour

Main tasks for this position:

  • Help customers choose parts/accessories efficiently and providing high-quality customer service;
  • Inform customers about parts/accessories and promotions;
  • Ensure that the customer is aware of the entire product range;
  • Answer phone calls, state prices and offer any other information;
  • Contact regular customers by telephone;
  • Ensure that internal requests for parts/accessories are billed to the after-sales service repair order;
  • Collect customer payments;
  • Ensure that all customers receive their copy of the invoice;
  • Grant credit for returned parts/accessories;
  • Follow up on pending orders;
  • Replenish assigned stocks;
  • Organize orders for shipping or delivery;
  • Notify the technical advisor and the client upon reception of the parts;
  • Carry out the goods reception;
  • If necessary, deliver the parts/accessories to the technicians;
  • Participate in the annual return of parts/accessories;
  • Ensure that the front and back counters are clean and tidy.
  • Collaborate with the parts manager to maintain a sales loss tracking program;
  • Keep up with all new and improved products;

Skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma, Mechanical Parts Sales course (an asset)
  • 2-3 years of experience in similar roles
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Spoken and written English is an asset
